Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install
2. set automatic sync, but nothing happened, so...
3. ...did a manual sync. Nothing happened for some time, then I had two entries
per contact.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected one event per contact. Instead twow events per contact.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.04 on Windows 7/64

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi,

You run into following problem:

The first sync was finished successfully, but the events were not yet committed
to the calendar database (it matches with Your statement, that You haven't seen
the events).

Then You run the second sync, which also can't see the new events and the
events will be added again.

If it is this problem, it can't be fixed on client side.
Please reopen if following test will fail:
1. Open Your calendar.
2. If You don't see any gCalBirthdays events, run a sync and wait until You see
them.
3. Run a new sync and observe Your calendar, if there are new duplicates.

How can I get rid of all gcalbirthday events to start over?

I have all Birthdays in a separate calendar.
Just delete it and create a new one.

If You have added all birthdays to Your main calendar, then You have to use a
tool that allows bulk editing, like Sunbird or Thunderbird with Lightning.
