After reading the Libre-SOC technical spec I'm still not convinced about it's capabilities and future. I think it tries to achieve some of the goals of betrusted, but very differently and IMHO not that well thought through as betrusted (they claim "safe" and "trusted" chip...).
To me it seems to make sense to somehow align Libre-SOC and betrusted efforts rather sooner than later (even though Libre-SOC will be a "combination" of Power ISA and RISC-V ISA).

Just shortly - are you in contact with or do you already cooperate with https://libre-riscv.org/ ? I just read https://www.crowdsupply.com/libre-risc-v/m-class/updates/openpower-eula-released-fosdem-and-more about funding of tape outs (funded by NLNet pretty much as betrusted is).
