Hi @beveradb. I have several hundred (or thousand) images that I've scanned that have the red 7-segment date displayed in the corner, and I'm hoping to do exactly what this repo sets out to do.

Before I pull down your code and try it, I'm curious - did you have any luck?

I'm sorry to disappoint but I don't think so, mostly for lack of serif-discipline/free time though - I still believe it's possible and I reckon it should be easier these days with modern machine learning tooling than it would've been to do it the way I would've originally tried.

Good luck, and it you want to collaborate on anything I'm still keen on singing the underlying problem!
