My guess is that you need to set up port forwarding on your router (i.e. poke a hole in the firewall so you can access the ComicStreamer server from outside your local network).
Port forwarding isn't difficult (typically), but with so many routers out there it's hard to give specific instructions. Hopefully the run down in the link below will put you on the right path.

Thanks for your response. I was actually able to figure it out just shortly before you posted. I'm so happy to have it working now. I can can take my entire collection with me everywhere I go. :)

I use Astonishing Comic Reader with ComicStreamer and after some tweaking I got it working, but only over LAN. If I put the IP address as 192.168.1.11 I can download and browse all my comics just fine. If I put my normal IP in, I get nothing. I am sure I'm just missing something. I'm not a computer genius. I was only able to set up the service using a rather detailed guide. Do I need to format the IP a certain way, or add other info to get it working? Would be amazingly helpful for travel, since my .cbr collection is much larger than my tablet's storage.
