zsh-long-prompt There is not much space left to write my command!

An option would be to toggle the path info (dojocodes-stuff/game-of-life-challenge here)

Has been implemented in dd68aef6f5f9c0fac01d0d0a631494f010c3e898 Set PROMPT_OVERRIDE_PWD=foobar to replace the visible pwd with foobar
