Unable to initialize communications with Carelink USB stick #186

Hello,

I've been trying to use decocare.stick without any luck over the last week. The stick will maybe respond 1 times out of 10. I've tried using another (new) stick and the same problem occured. When I try running lsusb, either the stick won't be displayed in the devices, or lsusb will simply freeze. I am using the linux kernel 4.4.0-22-generic. Can anyone help?

Ends up decocare works fine on the latest release of Raspbian Jessie on an RPi... Either the kernel I am using on my laptop or the latter itself are the cause of the problem. Closing this issue!
