1 year ago Hi, yes unfortunately cape town didn't release their updated schedules before they ran out. Here's a little timeline to explain it all:
- 4:43 PM · May 8, 2023 CoCT posts an "updated" loadshedding schedule, but it only describes the schedule until 9th May at 5am. This schedule is actually identical to the schedule posted just before it.
- 5:00 PM · May 8, 2023: CoCT logging off for the night on May 8th, but I (and many other residents) asked them to give the updated schedules. No response. It appears that they meant to post an updated schedule, but mistakenly posted a schedule which had already been made public.
- 5am: CoCT loadshedding schedules run out.
- 7:49 AM · May 9, 2023 CoCT releases the loadshedding schedule for the next few days.
So as you can see, there was a period on May 9th from 5am to 7:49am for which CPT had loadshedding, but nobody knew what the schedule was.

The calendar has schedule 05:00:-6:00, with message ”This is the end of the known loadshedding schedule”, but somehow ESP knew that loadshedding ends at 08:00.
