I dont get to see any error message, as the entire machine hangs, but here is my log file, and dxdiag:

Also having same issue, screen freezes with all music still playing. Stock build no overclocks (originally thought this was a bad overclock!)

My logs atached.

Same here The whole system freezes, audio keeps playing - others programs included, i.e. Firefox, Discord... Cannot switch to another program, the only solution is to hard reboot the computer No clear pattern on the time before crash I recently changed both CPU (from AMD 3700X to AMD 5800X3D, so still AM4, no change of motherboard/RAM) and GPU (from AMD RX480 to AMD 6700 XT), not sure if it's linked

Might be related not sure, but have done a fair bit of research and think this may be related to Freesync - Why it triggers for me primarily with BAR I have no idea.

Can read about what I think is causing this here -https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/for-rx-7900-series-amd-freesync-issues-is-confirmed-if-you-have-bod-issues-disable-freesync.446079/

Disabling freesync looks promising so far.

cryptiklemur commented 1 year ago

I'm running on gsync unfortunately

biscotteman commented 1 year ago

It seems that enabling the vsync in the game's parameters might have fixed this issue for me, at least I haven't got any crash in a while

Rexeh commented 1 year ago

Still experiencing this crashing, have had GPU checked with no fault found and it seems to only occur in BAR like this (whole PC hangs, audio keeps playing and requires hard shutdown).

Latest infolog attached. infolog.txt

I was using adaptive, and will try enabling it, is this still working for you? I can reliably get a crash daily even playing only a few games.

biscotteman commented 11 months ago

Yup, I was in adaptive too when I was crashing, going to "enabled" did the trick. But it may only be a coincidence. I haven't played much recently, but no crash to report during my sessions.

I think this could be true, I've done a few games today with no crashes so will continue testing. So for anyone else reading this thread try the solution @biscotteman suggested!

Worth noting also ingame options had my resolution blanked out so now set that correctly along with the vsync mode.
