Assisting units blocking planned building arrays #1992

Hi, When Tech 1 or 2 construction bot has a multiple structures in build queue and there are is a group of assisting bots assigned to that construction bot there is a clogging up problem. After finishing first building in line the assisting units stand in the field when next planned building should be built and the building process stops when assisting bots stop moving off the planned next building field. Solution is to set assisting bots on patrol with roam mode enabled (they will move of their location to allow construction bot to start next queued building to start its construction) but this is not a perfect solution because assisting bots might move to different build process in vicinity. This is not a major problem but is quite annoying in later stages of the game.

just tested. This still is relevant.

looks like units receive "bugger off" commands when they're in the way of a unit trying to build stuff. That being said, when they receive "bugger off", it's because they're already in the way causing a delay until they move. This issue is a question of "can it be done better" and not "this feature doesn't exist yet"

Hi,

This issue can be partially solved by ordering a build array by single unit and then the assist group of units must be ordered to patrol with roam mode enabled on them. If the patrol route is at some small distance from build array then the patrol group stays mostly away from arrays surface on map and only starts to assist when they come back in the area of build array. I am not sure if this explanation is clear, probably making a short vid on youtube with how to set it up would be a better idea.
