Wallet Connect Issue

What happened?

The Metamask wallet connection method does not work on Desktop!

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Navigate to 'connect wallet'
2. Click on 'metamask'
3. Switch or click on 'Desktop'
4. Then click on connect
5. Observe the error / unexpected behavior (the wallet does not connect nor popup just blank)
6. Then keep trying again but nothing will pop up after selecting metamask for connection (nothing will popup if you try again from step 2)

I have attached a screenshot to illustrate the issue.
