Currently the location of acks for Windows are listed as:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ackrc
C:\Documents and Settings\$USER\Application Data\ackrc

These paths would apply to Windows XP and earlier. The locations for Windows Vista/7 are:

Global ackrc:

Win32::GetFolderPath(Win32::CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA())
=> C:\ProgramData

User ackrc

Win32::GetFolderPath(Win32::CSIDL_APPDATA()) 
=> C:\Users\$USER\AppData\Roaming
