I asked ChatGPT which extensions to add here:

What are the file extensions for AsciiDoc?
The file extensions for AsciiDoc files are typically .adoc, .asciidoc, or .asc.

.asc may be confounded with GPG though (https://stackoverflow.com/a/59241707/1745064)

Thanks, and I need something more authoritative than a bot. Some sort of docs.

From experience, these extensions are indeed correct.

adoc is more popular AFAIK, here’s one example: https://github.com/rochacbruno/asciidoctor-book-template

I’ve seen asciidoc a few times too.

But yeah, if you want to point out to official docs then hopefully someone else can chime in.

Like --type-add=asciidoc=*.adoc,*.asciidoc ?
