1.
I add some ICQ contact into my roster (suppose his nick is "a3b5c"). I
don't really want it to appear in my roster as "a3b5c", so I rename it
to "Smith, John".
But when I go into ICQ directly (not via transport), it appears there as
"a3b5c" again. But I want it to appear there with the same display
name as in jabber ("Smith, John"), of cource.
Is it possible to add some command for syncing display names? (It'll be perfect
to sync also groups using that command, but as i've understood groups handling
is not easy.)
2.
I add "a3b5c" into ICQ directly and rename it to "Smith,
John". It should appear in jabber roster as "Smith, John" (nor as
"123456@pyicq.server", nor as "a3b5c".)

P.S.:
Imho, [2] (if it's possible to do it) will somewhat depreciate the "ICQ
buddies shown like uin@service instead of by nickname (45)" feature request
(if I've understood it correctly).
I don't see reason to fetch nicks on-the-fly or in-any-other-way, since
they are
usually fetched by client at the time contact is adding and stored as
display-name. (At least, I know Psi can do with "Resove" button-and
official ICQ-client seems to do it automatically.)

Your first point is not possible, because the transport won't be able to
see how
you renamed your buddies. Maybe the Openfire ICQ plug-in could offer that
functionality, but PyICQt will never be able to offer that.
The second point is also impossible, because again PyICQt has no influence on
the name that is to be displayed in your roster. The only product that could do
that would be the Openfire ICQ plug-in, since it's more deeply integrated.
