I don't get it , aren't you the dev ?
@raousoft
It's an encouragement for others to contribute.
Oh I see ..
Can you tell me how to put own roms ? I mean how did you did the amazon link or something alike ?
I'm thinking that the best way to approach this is a separate project that would be similar to https://thegamesdb.net/ or https://www.screenscraper.fr/ but for homebrew games. This API could then be called by JSNES-web to receive data on homebrews. This kind of service would not only separate concerns of JSNES-web
and the homebrew database neatly, but the homebrew database could serve the whole NES homebrew community in itself!
It wouldn't be a very demanding project technically, IMO the biggest hurdle would be finding people to curate the data. If we can find those people, I could definitely work on the coding part.
The first version of this API could even be a directory with ROM data and a static JSON file that works as an index, hosted on GitHub. Someone just needs to gather this information first.
I'll even go as far as to say, if someone provides me with a good list of at least 10 NES quality homebrews, their ROM data, makes sure the authors are OK with distributing their games and provides a good set of tabular data on this, I can make the rest of this project happen. If you are interested, reply or email me and let's do it :)
Ah thank you! I’d say the original intention of this ticket is kinda done now, but I love your idea of taking it even further. :)
I actually started working on it on my own now :) https://github.com/nes-open-db/nes-open-db
At some point I would like to integrate it so that you can one-click try a game while browsing the Nes Open DB and when visiting JSNES you would automatically see a selection of games from Nes Open DB.
But I'll wait until my previous pull request is settled until I move on :)

just saw and made something for before building... Check Here!
It'd be really neat if we had a homebrew section, with credits and links to authors and so on.
