If EvE Avatar's persistance and auto-pull

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When you select the Avatar as the EvE Avatar is saves the setting, but when 
you return to your profile the setting is no longer selected and active, it 
doesn't show the image even though it is set.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the option selected and it should show the Avatar for the 
selected Character.

Please provide any additional information below.
I would like to force the use of the avatar and have it pull straight from the 
api without any other user intervention beyond the registration.
