The south "nudging" logic in calibration doesn't adhere to the limit of
max-move in declination. Also, nudging should not be attempted at all if the
star is sufficiently far from the starting point - that indicates a calibration
that has gone seriously wrong and there is no point in trying to restore the
star to its initial position.
