What kind of certification I have to do for getting good job. #9

Got this question on Quora and here's my answer

Hey, thanks for reaching out. Here are a few things that I wished I did in college

  1. Certifications don't get you jobs your skills will
  2. So your focus should be on acquiring skills not certifications
  3. Create a list of companies you would want to work for eg., Google, Amazon, Facebook or Indian ones like Freshworks, Orangescape, Pipecandy or service companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys
  4. Each of these companies need specific skills pick the common few I suggest python/nodejs for backend. HTML, CSS, JS, ReactJS for backend
  5. Build websites and web apps using these technologies. Use freecodecamp like sites to look for ideas
  6. Spend 1–2 hours per day to write code
  7. Take 100Daysofcoding challenge
  8. Write about your learning in twitter
  9. The only way to get better is constant practice
  10. Ping me if you are stuck at any of these steps
