Would it be possible to change the license of this extension to the same BSD 
license which is used by Yii itself?

It's a more permissive license than GPL and better suited for a web framework.

I downloaded this from SVN - there is no license, so I am assuming BSD (to be 
nice).  I could just as easily assume that it is Public Domain... its 
definitely NOT GPL, since it does not contain that license or any other.

Gonna talk with thyseus about this. By now, let's assume YUM uses the same 
license as Yii Framework.
