Enhancement suggestion: soft pause / soft resume for phone calls

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Listen to your awesome playlist with VLC media player
2. Crank it! come on, this is the AWESOME playlist
2. Receive a phone call
3. Music suddenly paused
4. Hang up the phone
5. Music is instantly returned but at original volume level! Yikes!

What would be preferable
1. Listen to your awesome playlist with VLC media player
2. Crank it! come on, this is the AWESOME playlist
3. Receive a phone call
4. Reduce Volume to a low level over say 1 second
5. Pause
6. Hang up the phone
7. Play Music
8. Gradually increase volume to the original level over say 4 seconds

Galaxy S5

Please provide any additional information below.
Soft pause / soft resume alone would be a huge help!  It would be nice to let 
the user configure the rate of decrease / increase and the minimum level to 
reach before the pause... it does not necessarily need to go all the way to 
zero but all this will be different depending on the users listening preference 
and system configuration.

It would be even better if you rewound the track 5 seconds after the pause
