10 years ago Sorry, the holo-metal just rubs me the wrong way. Plus, when the metal fades to the alternating lines that make it look holo-y, the transition is really busy. Looks halfway between a fade and window blinds. Interesting, but not clean. Plus, in that case it's trying to draw attention. If you just change the text when the user logs in, they won't even really pay attention to it because the page does a full refresh on post requests (for now).
Benefit of the buttons being holograms :wink:
From the wiki, Glas' seem to be very holoy anyways so we could say it's a hologram of a metal button until it's used and then it's seen for what it is. Like think of a ship using a cloaking device until it gets hit or until it has to fire it's weapons.
