Missing textures files ? #1

Hello I was expecting texture image files for displaying textures on meshes.

i tried loading the dAE files in viewers , but I just see the meshes with colors and opacity variations, but no « metallic » material rendering.

Could you explain how it works without such files ? Thank you

@yvanblanchard Hello, sorry for the late reply. Could you show me the current picture of your robot model? What viewer are you using?

No problem! I am trying to use the Urdf loader from Garett Johnson (gkjohnson/urdf-loaders), by i face issue with threejs loader for the DAE mesh files (ongoing issue).

But my remark was just related to the fact that I was surprised not seeing any texture image files in your repo.

Anyway, I was able to load a single collada dae file using online3dviewer website, and I noticed that only color was rendered (and I expected some kind of metal material rendering).

@yvanblanchard I understand your meaning, Unfortunately, the repo that I shared can only render color, not metal material.

Thank you for your reply. It's because you mentioned "this repository contains packages that can displays the texture information".

And do you know how/where can I access to such textures ?
