Edison SSH over internet #17

edison ip: 192.168.0.25 port forwarded: 22-23 Protocol: TCP

my router IP: 63.225.82.24

ssh 63.225.82.24:22 gives "connection timed out".

I did little more research and looks like it might be router's firewall that is blocking any external incoming connections to 63.225.82.24

Alright you beat me to it; you may want to change the port from SSH's default (22) to something different since a lot of scripts out there in the wild will probe everything that will listen for the default ports of these kinds of common server utilities.

22 was recommended... do you have any other recommendation?

I am able to ssh to edison over the internet now.

ssh root@63.225.82.24 port is 22 ask for the password

@sabmah Please establish accounts for Michael ( @spesialstyrker ) and me on the Edison. Once that is done, go ahead and close this issue as it seems it is complete.
