8 years ago @bhunt2 Just to Clear things - Edison as Flight Controller sounds like we are discarding the flight controller and using Edison as a flight controller. We are using Edison to process the data from the camera and send signals to the flight controller like speed control, distance, etc. On Documentation: Do you want an official documentation on wiki or do you want us to write things down on wiki...like our thought process?

Going through the PDS I noticed a few references to using the Edison along with the basic flight controller. I had asked about it in my comments to the PDS but I figure it was lost in all the things that I mentioned. As I reviewed the tasks for the next sprint though, this design choice was confirmed.
Thus far I have seen very little actual documentation so all I have to go off of is the little I can get from the two references. If this is a design choice you have made as a team, please document the options you considered and the reasoning for making this design choice. This is an important decision and I would like to see why you guys went with this option.
If you keep good documentation throughout the project, I promise you that are going to see the benefits of doing so. Plus, it will be easier for me, Michael, and Dr. McNames to see how you guys are doing with different concepts.
You are faced with some pretty fun, but difficult tasks ahead of you. I would like to be able to help you wherever I can, but that will be difficult to do in just our kickoff meetings and when you decide to ask for help. If we can look through your documentation as you go, we will be able to help you work through things and maybe give hints or make suggestions that you hadn't thought of yet.
You can document your work on the GitHub Wiki, which is preferred, or you can have Google Docs that you save to the repository.
Once you have documented this design choice, I will look it over.
