New tab mod showing up in http(s) sites #132

Strangely, the about:newtab modification is showing up on sites like "nytimes.com" and "weather.com" when navigating to them from about:newtab. Why?

  1. In "fast" or "private", go to "dictionary.com"
  2. Open a new tab
  3. In this new tab, go to "weather.com".
  4. Notice the new tab modification appears on the "weather.com" page. I have also found this to be the case for "nytimes.com".
