4ch is an interesting fork of py-4chan, which might have some things worth looking at.

However, it has diverged significantly from py-4chan and retains no commit history from it. Also, it has not been updated in over a year.

It looks like 4ch is not really of interest to us, as the codebase has diverged significantly, and the code is stale, already a year old.
