Teus, would a new edition of Bibledit just recently automatically arrived on her Windows computer?
The Windows editions of Bibledit do not update automatically, unlike some other editions.
To update Bibledit on Windows, that needs a manual action to be taken by the user.
I tried to reproduce the flickering of the screen on Windows, but could not get it to flicker in any way.
Here's the video of what I did.
A question is what is different on your system.
Could it be that the font sizes were changed from their default values?
The idea that you mentioned above is really something to check out for both screen problems recently. I will do some experiments to test this. I know that both Paula and I use much increased sizes for various things in the preferences. And besides the font sizes in the preferences, there are things that are regulated in the style sheet. And besides that, there is a third place fonts are regulated, Under the Bibles Fonts and text settings. My Android settings are currently General font ... 130 Menu 130 Bible editors 108 Resources 94
Paula's general font size is huge, maybe more like 160 for her Android. But that was in Windows, so it wasn't quite so large.
In my style sheet for viewing, I have a full size and verse number with a colored background and colored font. I also have a different font size for \q2 than for \q1.
With three places trying to regulate the font size, I think it is highly likely that this could cause problems.
I don't know about Windows, but I just set my Android to be 100% for all the settings above, without changing anything else, and the editone editor is perfectly stable!!!! Evidently having 4 different font settings for different parts of the display caused the wobbling up and down problem in Android.
The fix for this (at least temporarily) is to change the font settings for the whole interface in the Android Accessibility settings. I don't have a Windows machine now, but I bet that something like that would work. Making that change has made my editing window on Android completely stable.
After your tests, and based your observations, it may be that the flickering of Bibledit 4 Windows, and that the wobbling editor in Bibledit 4 Android, are caused by one and the same thing, it could be likely so.
I guess if there's four different settings for the font size, that the Android system goes through all four of them, applying them one by one, so that may cause the wobbling. Perhaps. Likely.
I'm waiting on Paula to update the program.
Paula has updated her Bibledit program. She is searching for answers as in the screenshot. She is disappointed that only Bibledit has this problem on her Windows computer.
Bibledit flips back and forth from large to small whenever she opens a menu. But after waiting a bit, it settles down. Would the settings she found by searching heal the problem? She will try them tomorrow.

Best for her is to try that setting that she found, and find out if it helps.
I am interested in seeing the settings for the size of the fonts.
Like in this screenshot:
And a screenshot of her font and text settings.
If she were willing to do so, she could zip up the whole C:\bibledit directory and send it to me for inspection, so I can try it all out and reproduce the error.
The last time I saw this it was rooted in the verse synchronization loop.

I am trying to understand what the verse synchronisation loop is.
If I were able to understand how to get the flickering to occur, then I could reproduce and fix it.
Would you be willing to clarify about the verse synchronisation loop?
Paula says: I made a video of what the flickering is like, but I can't send it as the file is too large.
I followed the steps for a flickering screen and restarted my laptop in safe mode and opened BE in safe mode.
And it doesn't flicker or the screen tidak besar kecil.
So I am restarting it again to open it in regular mode to see what will happen.
Yaaay! It worked...the screen hasn't flickered in the last several minutes.
Thanks pak Phil and Teus. Sorry I caused so much bother.
So it sounds like we're good. I wonder how long it will last. Thanks so much for your help in supporting my team.
I hope that the flickering does not come back anymore, and that the fix she found, will be permanent. That would be great.
It looks like the flickering is not related to Bibledit somehow. But that it is related to something in Windows.
I am closing this issue because it looks that the flickering was not caused by the Bibledit software.
Our member, Paula, is using Bibledit on Windows, and the program just started flickering. Here are parts of our Whatsapp discussion:
Just wantes to let you know that BE on my laptop flickers for lack of a better word.
Meaning if I want to go from workspace to open notes, or if I open it in basic mode and I want to open translation or resources it goes on and off or besar kecil. [I’ll send her video by email.]
This is only happening in BE. If I open Logos, or anything else it's okay.
[Do you normally use Basic Mode?!!!] Not usually, but it was happening in advanced mode, so I thought I would open Basic mode to see whether or not it would do the same thing
[What happens in a workspace that contains notes as well as an editor?] The same thing
[What new programs have you installed??] I haven't installed any new programs.
