Propose: Modification to RSS feed #47

Currently our web page displays our RSS feed. This is fantastic! Thanks. If someone (like me) makes a change in our English back translation file, that appears for a little while at our web site, and doesn't fit there, because our project is in another language.

Now we have one sensitive project, and we will be adding another one that is a VERY sensitive project. We cannot have changes to these two Bibles displayed on our web page. I'm sure you can understand why.

Please make it so that there will be a separate RSS feed for each Bible project. And we talked before about a on/off addition, in which the Author would be included in the text shown of the RSS feed. This would make it easier on most RSS feed readers to display the author.

Thanks, Phil

Is it also okay to do it this way: ?

warpok commented 7 years ago

Yes! That would be a good way to set the security on that. I still really enjoy that feature of having the RSS feed at out site. I think we get more repeat visits because of it.

  • Keep one RSS feed, as now.
  • Enable per Bible whether changes in that Bible stream to the RSS feed.

Thanks for the feedback on this. I am going to implement it like discussed.

It should be working now on the production sites. Every Bible has a setting now, whether it will send its changes to the RSS feed.

As for "We talked before about a on/off addition, in which the Author would be included in the text shown of the RSS feed. This would make it easier on most RSS feed readers to display the author." I think it has been implemented before, and is working now.
