In Boxwood, eliminate borders for clauses with roles?

Consider the following:

The border around the adverbial clause severs the connection to the main verb in a way I find unhelpful. Wouldn't this be better?

The better approach would be to place the label outside the box instead of inside. I'm not sure how to do that in .css ...
