The function sends a file in a message to the server using the Notification framework.

• Parameters
  • file descriptor: (on smartphone)
  • destination folder: (info for server)
  • file properties: (Hash info storing metadata for server)
  • confirmation: 0= no confirmation needed, 1=block until send is confirmed, 2=progress update
  • referrer timeout: (only with confirmation 2)
• Returns
  • '{}' for confirmation parameter value 0
  • sent: 1=failure/0=success for confirmation parameter value 1
  • ref: referrer for use in sendPhotoProgressUpdate
