Non-BIDS data could go in a source
data folder, maybe ?
The folder in the spec for non-harmonized data is sourcedata/
Yes, sorry, I mis-typed. Was that what you were referring to, though, @dorahermes ?
Thank you! Yes, that is what I meant.
In that case, is the following source data?
And what are these?

You're talking about this page in the wiki, right @dorahermes? https://github.com/INCF/BIDS-Starter-Kit/wiki/dataset-examples
You're right that that page is incomplete at the moment.
My vision for sharing source data and BIDS data together is that they can be used to build tutorials on how to convert from sourcedata
to bids
data.
I don't think the goal is to list all the BIDS compliant datasets at that page (better to include instructions on how to find them) but to add in more details about how the source data were converted.
I think I'd find example conversations (as though they were done by hand) from a bunch of different sourcedata examples really valuable to get started with BIDS. (Some of the converters are a little "black magic-y" which is why converting by hand is so important the first time!)
Thank you! All sounds good, I updated this page to clarify. For now, I did not remove the links to non-BIDS data in there, but I think a focus on sourcedata --> BIDS is good!
Brill! Thank you!
I’m on my phone now so leave this issue open and I’ll have a quick read through this afternoon and close if it all looks good :sparkles:
Closing this because it is a tad* obsolote.
I was just wondering what the type of data should go in Dataset Examples: should Raw (Non-BIDS) data be in there? The term raw is a bit confusing since BIDS is meant for raw data.
