Read solely solar energy production and power from solar panels connected to StorEdge #68

Hello Edwin,

First of all, thanks for this wondefull app in Homey Pro, I'm using it a lot for monitoring and managing my StorEdge inverter and connected 13,8kWh home battery (3 modules of 48V 4,6kWh). I have two requests for improving you app.

Before I purchaged and connected the three battery modules, I could read and monitor the daily generated power (W)+energy (kWh) by my solar panels. I've integrated the combination of inverter and battery into homey. When clicking on the item, it shows a lot of results, which as far as I understand, is the combination of the two, which is not always easy to interpret and in particular use in other flows. I wonder, can you add a variable on the interface:

1) Energy (kWh) generated by solely the solar panels

SolarEdge2 SolarEdge1

As for the first screenshot, I see a variable 'Total Day Yield' which can not be the solar energy production from today (as this is too high on this cloudy Sunday morning). What does this value mean? The sum of production of the Solar Panels and Battery? I quess the same holds (but for power) for the second screenshot, topleft variable (Solar + Batt Power). Therefore, can you add a second variable to the interface:

2) Power (W) provided by solely the solar panels

When looking at the SolarEdge website, the site is able to retrieve (calculate?) the daily solar energy production and actual power. See first screenshow below. So I assume it is stored somewhere in the inverter. Can you please make this available in your app please? One of the reason for asking this is to upload the daily solar energy production to the app Solcast. By doing so, it will fine-tune the solar energy forecast for my site (see part of a flow in the second screenshot, I have a west and east facing rooftop)

I see a kind of similar issue is being raised last year, no. 60 by Vdhham on Nov 29th. I am using the SolarEdge Home Line Meter https://www.solaredge.com/en/products/metering-and-sensors/solaredge-home-inline-meter which is being set up to register the grid import/export energy.

Thanks for considering my request,

Norbert

Hey,

yes , solaredge is doing different on their webapp . internal it will do solar - batt charge. and discharge is added again. I cannot changed it and also there is no register for this.

for total , I checking 1 total variable and reset my value at midnight.

in short on the website they know more or calculate it all and they don't share how they do this.
