I think that is the problem. We are using Digital Ocean to host our apt-get repository for BigBlueButton and, for some places in Russia, Digital Ocean is blocked.

We're going to need to host our repository on a different server, probably somewhere in Europe. We'll leave this issue open until we have another repo setup.

How soon will it be? We just had a working Bigbluebutton server, it crashed.

In general, it was possible to install the server, then including, then disabling the proxy. We use the server only on the local network; accordingly, it is configured on the local IP address. If I start a conference in Chrome or Firefox, then a message appears that the use of audio / video is not possible. I launch it in Safari - the conference does not start, just a dark screen. How to make it possible to conduct conferences on the local network. Thank!

You'll need to obtain a SSL certificate for the hostname associated with your local server. The browser don't let users share audio/video/screen with any web application loaded from an IP address -- it must be loaded from a site via HTTPS using a valid certificate.

We have the packages for BigBlueButton 2.2-beta mirrored in Europe. Can you try installing using bbb-install.sh and when you run the command, change the parameter

The same problem here. We've installed BBB since the 2.2.0 release, and upgraded each time with xenial-220 option, but since last week the option have been renamed to xenial-22, and I suppose this is the problem. We've re-used the bbb-install.sh script from packages-eu.bigbluebutton.org and with the old option xenial-220 and now this error 1006 is closed, but I'm not 100% sure this not introduce another bugs because the last upgrade was with xenial-22 ...

The directory xenial-22 points to xenial-220, so it's not the name of the directory.

The error might be related to an issue with the packaging. Can you run sudo bbb-conf --check and see if it detects any warnings. Check the contents of sip.nginx to ensure it is using your public IP address.

@ffdixon Thanks for your feedback. We haven't get new issues after my bbb-install.sh from the old EU script. The --check doesn't show any warning. Yes the sip.nginx IP is our public IP address. Do you believe the next update we have to use the old EU script, or do we need to use the last bbb-install.sh script and use the new option xenial-22 ? Thanks for your help!
