When toggling the terminal and watching journalctl -a -f
output, I see only repeated:
May 30 07:54:21 x299 gnome-shell[42033]: Asked to toggle
May 30 07:54:21 x299 gnome-shell[42033]: Updating window geometry false
When I move the mouse or press a key, and the window moves to the correct location, I see no new output
I have a 2 monitor setup. Secondary monitor's top edge is a bit higher (so for the main monitor, where the terminal should appear, the top edge isn't at y=0)
When animation is enabled in settings, the window initially appears at y=0 (top portion of it is not visible). When I start typing, or when I move the mouse pointer over the window, it repositions to the correct location. When animation is disabled, this does not happen, the window intially appears at the correct location.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior Entire terminal window should be visible
Screenshots Immediately after I pressed the hotkey. Shell prompt is not visible: Moved the mouse pointer into the window. The window moved down, shell prompt is visible now:
