I would help to translate the app into german. Are there any plans to do this 
in near future?

Thanks for your offer. Even though 2 of us speak german, any help is 
appreciated.
But first we would have to externalize all those hardcoded strings ;)
So yes there are plans, but don't ask for ETAs ;)
