What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd like to be able to hibernate the HTPC with the andriod remote

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
latest from the android market

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
HTC Desire stock ROM

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
Darma RC1
