serving gitbook's specific pages #25

gitbook serve now takes almost a minute for me, after we had a birdstrike.json exercise, because of the large size of the set I believe. Working became almost impossible. Is there a way to speed up the serve (maybe serve only specific pages?)?

You can remove the offending pages from SUMMARY.md temporarily. Just make sure you add them back on your final build.

It is indeed a limitation of gitbook. It is not smart enough to rebuild only the pages that have changes. It always try to rebuild the whole thing....

We are currently investigating a more elegant solution.
