Currently, trending Netanyahu's speech mentioning "Israel from Jordan to the sea" ... I wrote an explanation regarding this term as it is in the charter of the Likud party...
π¨ Western mainstream media plays a role in shaping people's perceptions of what is happening in #Gaza, the #WestBank, and #Israel.
π¨ They spare no effort in echoing the Israeli government's propaganda, all under the guise of defending the "shared values" with the "only democracy" in the Middle East.
π¨ Intentionally, they overlook the context of the long-standing Israel-Palestine conflict marked by #occupation and #oppression.
π¨ The U.S, followed by other allies, has designated Palestinian resistance movements as terrorist groups. Marking certain expressions, such as "from the river to the sea," are forbidden under the pretext of "preventing genocidal intent".
π¨ What they deliberately avoid presenting to the public is the Israel project, specifically the #Likud party, currently governing Israel. This party charter advocates for the #genocide of any other nations to establish Israel "from the Jordan to the sea". A statement that was removed later from the charter, but remains as a core principle for the party leadership, reflected by recent speech addressing the media by Netanyahu!
π¨ The Likud party's #charter is replete with anti-Arab sentiments, asserting the superiority of Zionism in determining and permitting peace in the region, neglecting the rights of others to self determination.
π¨ This inconsistent reaction by the #WEST exposes a glaring double standard and #hypocrisy. Palestinians are accused of being "terrorists", "antisemitic", and "violent", while the West defends a party with core beliefs centered around #genocide and #apartheid!.
π¨ Share this with the world as a response to one of the biggest propaganda and disinformation campaigns humanity has witnessed since the time of the #Nazis. Media games won't work on the new generations! Period.
Evidence:
Include any evidence or supporting materials related to the claim (e.g., screenshots, articles, videos).
Additional Notes:
[ From the river to the Sea]
π£π Food for thought extraction from Jerusalem declaration on anti-Semitism
πͺΆ Section C. #Israel and #Palestine: examples that, on the face of it, are not #antisemitic based on Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism. (whether or not one approves of the view or action)
π£ 11. Supporting the Palestinian demand for justice and the full grant of their political, national, civil and human rights, as encapsulated in international law.
π£ 12. Criticizing or opposing #Zionism as a form of nationalism, or arguing for a variety of constitutional arrangements for Jews and Palestinians in the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean. It is not antisemitic to support arrangements that accord full equality to all inhabitants βbetween the river and the sea,β whether in two states, a binational state, unitary democratic state, federal state, or in whatever form.
π£ 15. Political speech does not have to be measured, proportional, tempered, or reasonable to be protected under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights and other human rights instruments. Criticism that some may see as excessive or contentious, or as reflecting a βdouble standard,β is not, in and of itself, antisemitic. In general, the line between antisemitic and non-antisemitic speech is different from the line between unreasonable and reasonable speech.
