Strange highlight effect in the gutter #143

This usually happens when my cursor passes into the file area. Increasingly lighter blocks appear next to the line numbers, and remain until I close the file.

Using the latest version of macOS, Atom and this package, I cannot reproduce this.

What version of Atom? What Platform (cursor looks like Mac, but...)

The problem also occurs for me on a brand new Linux box running Ubuntu 16.04 and on macOS High Sierra, both with latest stable Atom.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a file with a good number of lines
  2. Hold sublime-select hotkey and the mouse button (on Linux it's Shift + L-Click)
  3. Starting from the middle of your text, drag the mouse down and left to vertical select a chunk of text
  4. While still dragging, slide the mouse left into the the gutter area or files area, then drag it up and down

I tried setting a number of UI themes and syntax themes, all seem to have the problem. The color of the gutter highlighting seems dependent on the syntax theme.
