To make our statement about refinement gates more clear, we could add a some more information about the refinement mechanism without going to much into detail.
In section 3.1.1 we say:
A key abstraction within this model are specific access points called refinement gates (see yellow squares in Figure 1).
I could imaging adding something like to this to it:
A key abstraction within this model are specific access points called refinement gates that are expressed by a topic-based publish-subscribe messaging system (see yellow squares in Figure 1).
Basically, this boils down to certain specific topics and messages in our Kafka messaging model. What do you guys think about that?
How does/could it work?
