how do the mosfets work skr 1.4 #489

All my mosfets turned on without a signal. This blew q1 q4 and my hot-end burnt up that was running on q3. Since u6 seemed to control the gate i removed it, but they are all still active. does u6 pull the gate to ground, if not i cant seem to find where this 5v (q3,q1 and .3 on q2) signal is coming from, and it doesn't seem to be shorted to any of the 5v rails. the schematic says the only path on gate is u6. when i cut the legs of the mosfest drain to source the lights go out also when i cut the leg to gate

ok turns out the led was was just out on the one one with the gate leg cut and all the mosfets are blown
