If you want to use canbus you have to set terminal resistor on the 1st and last can device on the bus. Eg. If you only use the SKRat and a can toolhead board like a EBB36, You have to set the terminal resistor on both. The general rule is 120R on 1st can device -> no 120R on next can device -> ... -> 120R on last can device. Eg. I have a Manta E3EZ, a MBB board and 2 EBB36 in a IDEX printer. I set it up this way: MBB with 120R jumper placed -> E3EZ no 120R -> EBB36 no 120R -> EBB36 with 120R jumper placed.
Is it necessary to set jumper on J49 in order to use CanBus? These are the two pins between the CanBus connector and Four-Wire FAN0 connector. In the manual i can't find any info about the terminal resistor for CanBus.
