The E value is too small for the sensor to work reliably. When it's set to 9 there's well over 50% deviation! When it's set to 12, that drops down to about 15% and with it set to 20 I'm getting around 5%.
I did later check the readme and found that example setting was E22, which would be fine, but the manual shows E9 which is pretty much guaranteed to throw faults unless you set the allowed filament movement range to something ridiculous like 10:175.
