Grid annotation #81

Is there a grid annotation as we had in the old BIIGLE? It was not even implemented in DIAS but was used before to annotate e.g. nodule coverage. So the workflow would be: define a grid size (rows & cols), pick a category (e.g. coral) and then a grid spanning the entire image would be shown and the user could select a percent coverage value for each tile (or grid cell). We had percentages selectable in steps of 10% but this could be another parameter.

You don't mean something like #67, do you? In this case we haven't implemented or planned anything like that yet.

No, very different. The old, Flex BIIGLE (https://ani.cebitec.uni-bielefeld.de/biigle/bin) had that feature (implemented by Samy). screenshot from 2017-11-16 11-15-11 In the right menu you see a box where you can choose the grid size (rows & cols). After selecting this, the red grid is placed over the image and in each grid cell a dropdown appears (hard to see here) that has percent values from 0,10,20,...,100 to be selected. In this case it was not linked to any category but in a state-of-the-art version it should be able to link any category from a label tree to the selected coverage.
