• Remove unnecessary flag this made a noticeable improvement to response times in some routes i tested
• chmod pre-commit hook to it works the pre-commit hook file permissions weren't committed as executable so it didn't work.

How are you verifying that the pre-commit hook works or doesn't work?

When I ran "got commit" got told me it didn't run because the permissions were wrong. I changed the permissions, then ran got commit again and I saw the linter logs in my terminal
