Any chance someone will fix this for modern ios and mac os? I tried to get it working but it only worked once before failing to load the images and kept the screen on the ipad blank. I would really like to use this.

I found a way around it sort of, you have to go in activity monitor and force quit both the touchbardemo app TouchBarServer and the official apple TouchBarServer process.
