12 years ago I think I commented on this in an email, but I just want to confirm your concern. We definitely don't want msg mechanism between students.
Perhaps btw students & therapists, but we'll discuss this later when we do that section.
We may need messaging mechanism - depending on how you think talking privately between members is appropriate. Members should probably have private messaging with therapists though.

My concern is that even if we allow members to specify if they are OK with being contacted by others, private conversations like that between, say, troubled individuals might make their situation worse, e.g. if someone is abusive, aggressive or is encouraging to build online relationships around negative topics (e.g. substance use) In contrast to support groups this communication would not be mediated by a professional, so I'm not sure if this can turn into rather harmful experience
