Lots of photos

Hi, I have a lot of photos that have been handed down to me from my grandparents from Greenfield Farm in billinge. I don’t live in Lancashire anymore and it would be difficult to give you them to scan. Would you like to scan them for the billinge web site? I think i know who is in about half the pictures but the other half i have no idea and it would be good to find out who they are. Regards Chris Holland

Hi Chris, I don't live in Lancs anymore either. If you have the time to scan them, please attach one by one to this issue with as best a description as you can including any metadata you can think of such as year, persons on the photo, exact place, photographer, even what camera was used, even better, you can fork this project, make yourselves a subfolder in the photos folder and add them in there with a separate file used for descriptions. The photo files themselves will sit in images folder within your subfolder, use good naming for the jpeg files with underscores for spaces and run them by something like tinypng.com before uploading. The text file containing your meta data will become the index.htm gallery, but I can help with that
