Fighting a losing battle

Hi Guys I have been playing around with the bot for a few weeks, and its been a really interesting learning curve; however, I have come to the conclusion we are all fighting a losing battle. The algorithm the Volatility Indexes use, will always recognise your trading pattern and, over a short period of trading, will wipe out your trading balance. Considering Binary.com's gambling policy, this situation is rather worrying, I have emailed them but they do not address this issue. The Volatility Indexes are a great idea, but we can only successfully use them, if we know how many humans are trading the asset; we have absolutely no chance of success if it is just one trader and the algorithm in the trade. You can actually watch the Algorithm "learning" the trade pattern if you open Trading View Just to substantiate this observation; I have used the Bot to trade regular Forex, and the results are amazing, EVEN with a very basic Bot. The only problem them is, Binary.com keep changing the price of an asset and, of course the Bot can't deal with that. Just felt I needed to share this with everyone who is hitting a brick wall with everything they try.

You Sound So LOGICAL but you just failed to crack the Idea behind price changes and the mulfunction of the bot in the case of Forex. That Issue was raised and @aminmarashi is Busy upgrading the Bot. #158. The thing is you have been playing around with the bot for a few weeks, that's the problem. Give youself time my friend. WHETHER YOU TRADE FOREX OR VOLATILITY IT'S ALL GAMBLING!!!!

Disagree with that mate. EVERY part of life is a gamble; that doesn't make us all gamblers. We take risk on a daily basis, but only after considering and minimising the risk. Trading Volatility takes away that control. Don't get me wrong. The bot is great fun, and it's entertaining trying to beat a robot at it's own game. I have a degree in computer design and logic, so I'm up for it! But the chances of ever beating an algorithm of Binary.com's size and complexity, with Google Blockley is remote. It's better than playing chess all the time though!

beating the algorithm? is this some kind of game to you? then we are not in the same boat. seriously, why r people like u always think that this broker have a super system that read our bot strategy and will always make us lost our capital at the end? dont u think its stupid for them to do that? if they want to cheat, they dont need to recognize ur patern or whatever. they only need to make the price down when purchase rise and vice versa, but i doubt they do that. at least i dont see any proof of them doing that. if u think Volatlty is not for u and u prefer forex, please do so, and yes there is still this bug that stop our bot when the price move too much. i think the problem is not that they unhonestly changed the price but the problem is on the bot and amin still fixing it. take notice that when u trade manually ur contract wont be accepted when u propose it at that "the price move too much" time. Guys! Don't get so upset. Merely pointing out that there is a huge difference between trading Volatility Index and Regular Forex. Just pointing out that it would help if we knew (as happens with many Binary Brokers these days) if we knew what trader sentiment was. Never once did I say the Bot was useless. I love it! Using Algorithms isn't cheating at all. Like I said; I play a lot of chess online. I know I have probably no chance of winning when on a higher level, because the algorithms used there are programmed that way. It's not about cheating it, it's about being one step ahead.

If I open one instance of the Bot and set it up to trade for 60 seconds, the response from the asset (trying to avoid using the word algorithm) is predictably volatile particularly towards the end of the trade. If I open six instances of the bot, using slightly different settings, the response from the asset is much more in line with what you would expect from a binary trade.

So, as I said to Binary.com, it would help when choosing a Volatility asset, to know what trader sentiment is. IQ, StockPair, Expert, 24option, ALL of them do this now. That's how you define Volatility; by the number of Traders trading.

I thought it was Amin's. Anyway, the way I have had success with reducing loss is to use a higher candle interval and higher trade time. That way I am trading more trend and less volatility. Seems to work quite well Rob

Hi Harping back to discussion on gambling; I'm not a gambler, so I never trade volatility. I have set Bot up with 3min candle and 90second trade. That way I trade more trend than Volatility. I've got a martingale in there but it only kicks in when consolidation or direction changes. I started the bot about an hour ago using $5 trades, and I am up to $90! Hope it works for you Rob

@JGihon not really, @Fruitfella didn't gave up, but he already made few profitable bots, use it for real trading, sold some of them (to limited numbers of buyers, i was one of them), and finally decided to focus on real life and family, and retired from bot development. Though the cause of his retirement was because some ppl (who usually asked him for helps in making bot) tried to hack his pc by sending some backdoors and malicious links, so he kinda felt betrayed and disappointed. I also feel disappoint (and sad) as now we lack ppl who could help in building a bot based on some complex strategies.

Here is where he usually help ppl creating their bots, you won't find him anymore (since he retired already) but you can still find some ppl who learned a bit from him.

Btw, most ppl who already get a bot with good performance stop coming to any bot development forum. Me? I spend most of my time in front of my laptop, so I check this site once in a while. Just in case if someone share some good ideas/strategies that potentially better than mine (Lol), i'll join the discussion and the work for the bot.

Basically I can code any system and model it in excel or test it in MQL too. I am a very generous guy but am choosy, this means you can share with me ideas and I will help if I can if I have positive feelings about you. :-)

Well, I came across many guys who are coding in MQL but they are programmers who have little experience in trading and they just want to get the job done, get paid and bye bye. They learned MQL to make money from coding. I love trading, I enjoy the challenge and that's why I learned coding, so that I can really get to know a strategy in and out.
