MY TWO PERFECT STRATEGIES THAT DON'T MAKE CENTS. #3417

Sorry for a long-for-nothing post, I enjoy doing this. Now that you have accepyed my apology... The algorithm that runs this whole thing (from simulation to creating prices and facilitating the price movement thereof) on the whole Binary.com system is based entirely on nothing but mathematical formulaes. Now the question is "Do you need to have expert knowledge of Mathematics? definately not"... However zero or basic understanding of the subject is what you need to make something off of Algorithmic trading, most probably an appreciation of basic Statistics & Probability is enough. Now that we all know that the system "randomly and systematically" generates numbers which are translated to prices on our screens in the form of ticks or very minute [main-oot not minute] price movements, this gives an opportunity for smart and fast traders to trade using a concept around the statistical arbitrage ideology. First we find a price descrepency and then exploit that for example... A successful trade on Vol 10 Index pays 140% and a loss on Vol 10 Index results in -100%. Hopefully it's starting to make sense now. Do you see that we can exploit this through hedging e.g. sell V 10 Index and Buy V10 Index simultaneously at the same time, same price, same tick. We dont care about the outcome here as long as we get one trade correct. NOW lets assume that If the Sell is a loss then we lose 100% and if the Buy is a Winner we gain 140%. Now 100% from the Sell (loss) sets off with 100% gained from the Buy (Win) and we remain with an extra 40% from the Buy (Win) that is unaccounted for wich becomes the profit. So every trade/s we gain +40% which means... for every $2 ($1 + $1) that we are risking we gain $0.40 and in using an automated trading system means that we can have as much as... OH WAIT THIS STRATEGY IS SHITE & DOESN'T MAKE CENTS.

Lets move onto the other strategy thats only perfect in logic. Let's look at one trading strategy thats based entirely on Probability. First lets agree that this whole thing is far from "trading" but rather close to "gambling" because since we place trades systematically and hope that the randomly generated last digit is not below, above or equal to a certain digit and then at the same time, also hope it is not above, below or equal to a certain digit as well. This is confusing and apparently not trading whatsoever but rather gambling which requires no skills but luck instead

To be continued...

Hi, I have a question:

You talk about small TPs but in case the bot doesn't hit that TP and starts to lose and your stop loss is big, how do you handle that? Are you waiting for the good streak to come to level and reach the TP?

Saintbarnabas263 commented 2 years ago

With the loss recovery process built around martingale concept its hard to have a SL hit. Small TPs are an advantage and a game changer
