EggNOG IDs #56

Closed FelipeMSD closed 1 year ago

Dear all,

After regrouping Uniref90 mapped protein family into EggNOG functions I was able to map a function with ID "ENOG41069WJ", however, it does not have a name on map_eggnog_name.txt.gz and also is not available on http://eggnog5.embl.de/#/app/home, even though it is assigned to many Uniref90 proteins on map_eggnog_uniref90.txt.gz. How did you get EggNOG IDs like this one (that are not "COG") and where can I find a definition of their associated biological function?

Another question: Can the same Uniref90 protein family be associated with multiple EggNOG functions after regrouping? If yes, does it not impact the read counts calculation?

Thank you very much for your support, Felipe
